Heirloom Towels, Crafted to Endure

Where Ottoman mastery meets modern ritual, woven to transform the everyday.

Step into the legacy of Turkish bath towels woven as they were meant to be, handwoven in Türkiye using time-honoured techniques passed down from Ottoman artisans. These are not just textiles, but heirlooms crafted slowly on old-style shuttle looms providing an expertise now preserved by only a few.

Our collection includes both organic cotton and rare linen looped towels. Among the only pieces of their kind still made on traditional looms today. Highly absorbent, and woven to last, each towel elevates your bathing ritual, wrapping you quiet luxury.

Generously sized, they are designed to serve not just daily use, but a lifetime of quiet luxury.

“When you purchase towels or sheets from Jennifer’s Collection, it isn’t a small purchase
—it’s the beginning of a lifetime of daily use.”

Discover the Craft

Behind every towel in Jennifer’s Collection is a craft few still remember and fewer still can execute.

It begins not with weaving, but with thread.

GOTS-certified organic Turkish cotton, and rare Turkish linen, are sourced exclusively by Jennifer from reputable Turkish fibre spinners and wound onto bobbins. This ensures consistency of quality across every textile created within the collection. Fibres chosen not for cost, but for integrity, durability, and absorbency.

From these bobbins, two warp rolls are prepared: one forming the structural foundation of the towel and another forming the loops that rise from its surface. A technique invented and perfected by Ottoman master weavers in the early 17th century.

Hundreds of meters of thread, each strand placed with precision, tensioned with care, and perfectly hung and threaded to ensure the intended design reveals itself as woven form. Only when both warp rolls are properly mounted does weaving begin.

The looms themselves survive in limited widths and number, shaping both the quantity and scale of what can be made.

These towels are made on shuttle looms, a method long abandoned by factories for being ‘too slow'. It is precisely this slowness that makes the difference. The shuttle passes rhythmically across the warp, interlocking each thread.  The structural warp and the loop warp are held in tension while the shuttle carries the weft across the loom, binding foundation and pile into a weave no factory machine can replicate

The result is a towel with strength and a lifespan that eclipses anything factory-made.

Linen towels take this even further.

Linen fibres are coarse, uneven, and notoriously difficult to weave. They demand nearly fifty percent more time than cotton, and testing the skill of even our most experienced artisans. Linen was the fibre of civilizations for millennia, but industrial machines couldn’t cope with its wildness, and so it was left behind.

Not here.

At Jennifer’s Collection, linen endures. When our linen is gone, it’s gone until more fibre become available, if ever.

Whether you choose organic cotton or linen, you’re choosing a better way, one that cares for the planet, supports your family’s well-being, and transforms the everyday into something enduringly beautiful.

These are not fast towels.
They are heirlooms of daily ritual.
A quiet refusal against the disposable.
And once you’ve lived with one, you will feel the difference every morning, every night, for years to come.

To our knowledge, Jennifer’s Collection remains the only company creating looped linen towels on traditional shuttle looms. The tradition itself was first safeguarded through our sister brand, Jennifer’s Hamam, where the revival of the looped towel began and endures.

Why It Matters

Every textile is handwoven on traditional shuttle looms by master artisans, preserving techniques passed down through generations. The result: heirloom-quality pieces that endure. Created slowly, without waste, in quiet accord with the earth.
